On ancient maps, Jerusalem was depicted at the center of the world. Despite centuries of disputes and conflicts, today Jerusalem unites pilgrims from across the globe and serves as a living museum that reflects the history, traditions, and culture of diverse peoples. No other place in the world has such a concentration of churches, synagogues, and mosques coexisting side by side. This sacred city, with over 3,000 years of history, offers endless streets to explore, each stone and building carrying the weight of centuries.

Excursion program:

• Departure and Transfer: Your pickup will be around 8:00 am from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh (exact time confirmed the day before). The border between Jeruslem and Egypt is just 270 km away, a three-hour drive in comfortable, air-conditioned buses. The Egyptian-Israeli border is crossed on foot, with your bus remaining on the Egyptian side. Generally, crossing takes about 1.5 – 3 hours. Once across, you’ll meet a representative from the Israeli side who will guide you on a comfortable bus with a Russian-speaking guide.

• Dead Sea Experience: Your first destination is the Dead Sea, just over two hours from the border. Here, you’ll have 1 – 1.5 hours to float in the salty waters and purchase Dead Sea cosmetics. Tea and coffee will be served after a light breakfast before continuing to the sacred city.

• Tour of Jerusalem:

  • Church of the Nativity: Located in Bethlehem, Palestine, this church marks the birthplace of Jesus Christ and is the only Christian church to have survived intact from the pre-Islamic period.
  • Lunch: A hearty buffet lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
  • Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows): Walk the historic path where Jesus carried his cross to the crucifixion site, marked by fourteen stops, each with significant chapels or churches.
  • St. James Cathedral and St. Mary Magdalene Monastery: The cathedral was built on the site of an ancient Byzantine church, while the monastery was erected by Alexander III in memory of his mother, Empress Maria Alexandrovna of Russia.

• Jewish and Islamic Sites:

  • Dung Gate: Originally used by Arab villagers to transport waste, this gate is now adorned with a Star of David and expanded to allow vehicle access.
  • Western Wall: The remaining portion of the Second Temple, where visitors place written wishes into the wall’s crevices.
  • Church of the Holy Sepulchre: One of the most sacred sites in Christianity, located at the site of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial.
  • Al-Aqsa Mosque: One of the most revered Islamic sites, ranking third in importance after Mecca and Medina.
